:-D Hello, My wife and I bought our columbia C-28 #303 two thanksgivings ago, and set our sites on the sea of cortez. we are planning to leave the great northwest for La Paz around late sept. This has been our goal for the last five years, liquidated household items sold our house. We are now happily living aboard, and making our final purchases, tieing up the last of our loose ends.
Finally, we will spend the summer polishing our skills, and hope to see you all in october/november.
anyone have a word of advice for a beginer on his way?
thanks

Read the good info on LatMex. Get on to hostsancarlos and anything similar on the Baja side. Get the usual Gerry's charts and the Rains guide. Keep asking questions. Be prepared for some serious fun and great sailing.

No advice, just a great big applause and BRAVO! I bet 100,000 other folks are wishing they could do what you're doing, but aren't brave enough or committed enough to actually follow through. Your lives will be vastly richer for your adventures. Bravo again.

Excellent desicion. My wife and I were at that same process a couple of years ago but did not follow through enough. I realy hope to do so when kids are fully grown. Congrats and please keep your posts coming. Some of us are really interested in seeing how you really do living aboard and how expesive it is to do so. Bravo for you!
