Materials for a ferro cement boat
Date: 2006/01/27 00:09
Hi,
I will be 'moving' aboard my currently on-the-hard ferro ketch this coming summer. I am a total beginner with boats and a girl!
My boat is in San Carlos. I would like to know where one can get the best prices for epoxy and anti-foul paints, and how much I might expect to have to pay for such materials. Also, any idea how much labour costs usually? I might want some help with the scraping of the hull.
Regards

I am pretty familar with the boat u purchased. Get your bottom paint at comex and make sure you use a good mask when you paint the bottom. the paint fumes are very toxic. Other than that the boat should be prettty ready to go. If you encounter cracking in the hull grind it down a little and fill with epoxy paste. Don did alot of that as I recall
